I've been thinking a lot about how to do what I'm about to say, and it's funny because I spoke to Sam about including this last category before I had a few of you mention on your nomination ballots that you'd like this to be included too. So, for the first time ever, I want to introduce a new, special category for that one person in the community who always seems to go above and beyond to help and support those in need and generally be a ray of sunshine where we need it most. I know I've struggled a little this year myself, and this person reached out with a kind message of support like I know they have many others before. These kind gestures shouldn't go unnoticed, and haven't, so I'm delighted to present for the very first time, the first ever winner of the newest Clamshell Awards category:

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE THEME PARK COMMUNITY

Winner - Mr. Craig Toy

I know I'm not the only one who feels this award is more than deserved - it's only a small gesture of gratitude that I know the entire community feels is well-earned so thank you Craig, for everything you do for the community and the kindness and compassion you show to every single enthusiast no matter who they are. The community is a better place for having you in it, so thank you for all that you do, it doesn't go unnoticed! I'll be taking nominations for this category next year and moving forwards but it only felt right to start off with Craig as the winner for this first one!

I really hope you've all enjoyed the awards this year as much as I have. Every year I love seeing how the shortlists and nominations change and how this community continues to develop and grow its content with every season. I'm so excited to see what madness the 2023 season will bring but I hope you'll all join me in giving a round of applause to every content creator, including this years' fabulous winners but also everybody who took the time to make something to entertain us in 2022. You're all amazing.
