I'd had my eye on the ColourPop x Hello Kitty range ever since it was launched last year, but didn't take the plunge with my first ColourPop order. Sadly, some of my first order arrived shrivelled and broken, but after letting the awesome ColourPop team know they apologised and sent me a voucher for the value of my broken products pretty much instantly! As much as I loved the eyeshadows from my first order, I didn't want to take the risk of ordering again in case the same thing happened. Knowing I was safe with lipsticks I took this as the perfect chance to get my hands on some of the cute as hell Hello Kitty range!

Every now and then I come across a beauty bargain so great I can't believe it has even happened. I always make sure I poke my nose around the bargain drugstores in my town just in case I find some buried treasure, and low and behold I've stumbled across these bad boys. On first glance you'd be forgiven for thinking these gorgeous brushes were from the awesome Spectrum Collections. The oil slick rainbow detailing is reminiscent of the Siren Collection and the ombre coloured brush hairs are clearly inspired by Spectrum's signature style.


But prepare for the shock of your life, these pretty babies are actually from budget drugstore Savers of all places! Unfortunately due to the budget nature of the product there was no information about the product on the box at all and despite a fair effort of Googling I can't find anything else about them except that they're called 'True Professional Make-Up Brushes'. When I first spotted them in their little individual boxes hanging on the shelf I couldn't believe it. Then I saw the price and couldn't believe it even more. They're only £3 a pop and the store I bought them from only had three styles available: the eyeliner brush, the blush brush and the foundation brush. Naturally I bought them all because I was so excited.


I kind of thought that despite these looking beautiful they probably would have those cheap course bristles you usually find on cheaper make-up brushes, so I opened the box with anticipation. Oh my god, SO SOFT! But then that means they'll definitely shed all over my face when I use them right? Nope! I've been using these for over a week now and not a single bristle has strayed. Honestly I can't believe what a fantastic product these brushes are. I'd actually go as far as to say they're slightly better than the Spectrum Brushes because the handles have a matte finish meaning there's a lot more grip. My only qualm would be that I'd love to see a bit more range of brush styles. I'm gagging for a fan brush so keep popping into every Savers I stumble upon just in case, and as of yet I haven't found any other than these three.


I still can't believe my luck at finding these! I still live in hope that more styles will be available soon but in the meantime I urge you to go down to your nearest Savers and scoop these bad boys up before they disappear!

Another season, another excuse to go and splurge on cute Lush goodies! I pretty much adore heart-shaped anything but heart-shaped bath time goodness? Hell yes, Lush's Valentine's range is probably my second favourite (after Halloween of course!) and I was super excited to see what the 2017 range had in store! Here's what I got my hands on...


Love Spell Massage Bar
Surely I can't be the only one who thinks Lush's massage bars look like delicious bars of chocolate? Add to that the fact that like Love Spell they're usually packed full of cocoa butter and you'd be forgiven if you accidentally gave in and took a bite...Seriously though, Love Spell is super cute! A dusty rose colour speckled with little hearts, deliciously buttery and rose-scented and literally melt-in-your-hands soft. Can't wait to nourish my winter-dried skin with this little number!


Lover Lamp
Boasting the classic red-hearts-on-white design, Lover Lamp is keeping in true traditional Valentine's theme with a delicate buttery scented white bath bomb packed with mini-cocoa butter hearts. I LOVE this idea, it's like the gift that keeps on giving - just when the bath bomb fizz stops you still have the cocoa butter to melt down. There's also a slight citrussy tang to compliment the softness of the butter just right, heaven!

Rose Bombshell
I can't wait to see this one in action. Not only is it stuffed full of rose-scented awesomeness, it also promises an explosion of petals once the first layer fizzes away! Honestly, I've never been a HUGE fan of petals in the bath.In theory they sound lovely and romantic, but in reality they end up in a sludgey mess floating around your toes - not the nicest of sensations! But still, as we know with Lush it's all about the spectacle!


Rose Jam
Yh, there's definitely a theme here wit this year's Valentine's Day range - we've gone full on rose overload. And no more so than the Rose Jam bath melt - remember what I was saying earlier about wanting to eat the massage bars? I want to eat this one even more. Seriously how much does this look like a delicious Viennese Whirl? What's also fab about this is that you can break it into two pieces so you get double the fun. Only potential downside is this is super oily so maybe one for keeping your hair out of the way of!


That's it for this year's haul. I'll be honest and say I got my hands on these a little too late meaning some of the bits I'd wanted to pick up had sadly sold out by the time I got too them. Also sad to see that some of the other glittery heart shaped bits and bobs didn't make a return for 2017. That said, I am in love with how much my bathroom now reeks of roses.

I was over the moon when NYX Cosmetics stands started popping up in Boots all over the UK and can easily spend AGES lusting over all of their gorgeous products until Conor has to drag me away. Everything they do is so damn on trend and pretty, I just want it all! I've been a fan of theirs long before they showed up here in the UK and treated myself to a few of their products in America as a rare treat, but now I confess I'm a fully fledged NYX Cosmetics addict and hence there were a LOT of their products on my Christmas list this year. Here's the newest additions to me make-up bag!

Forget matte lipsticks, it's all about the metallics as we leap into 2017! Everybody from Jeffree Star to Limecrime to NYX Cosmetics have brought out their own range. Honestly, I was a little bit nervous about trying a metallic lip for the first time. Even for me it seems like king of an extreme look to me? That said, when I laid eyes on the Sugarpill metallics I instantly feel in love and new I had to get my hands on a few of them to try them out to myself, so I added them straight to the top of my Christmas list. Here's what I thought!


So I was lucky enough to receive two shades, Trinket and Pumpkin Spice. The promo pics are an absolute dream, like you just look at them and instantly want them in your makeup bag. They're honestly that pretty!



Firstly, can we talk about this packaging? Let's look at the boxes first, they're just so beautiful I do not want to throw them away! Like the lipsticks themselves, the packaging has very light flecks of glitter and the beautiful kind of metallic/pastel colour palette you'd expect from Sugarpill. And look at the adorable little pumpkin spiced latte cartoon, how can you not absolutely die when you look at that?



The tubes and applicators are similar to the Jeffree Star and Makeup Monsters ones. The applicator is extremely soft and fluffy and slightly curved on one side to comfortably fit the lip as you apply. The only thing I would say is that similarly to Jeffree Star applicators, I find it quite hard to get a precise application with this so once I've got the bulk done I usually use my own lip brush to sharpen up the edges.

Of course as with everything in the Sugarpill range, the lipsticks are totally cruelty free and vegan. The formula for both is extremely light and mousse-like, incredible soft and fluffy and light to the touch. It's so lightweight that you can barely feel it on your lips once applied so it's extremely comfortable to wear.




Trinket was the first one I was gushing over. After missing out on the Bei BadGirl x Sugarpill collaborations I was so excited to hear that Sugarpill were permanently releasing this lip as Trinket! The lipstick is a light dusty pink/mauve colour accented with tiny flecks of gold. Honestly, the pictures of the website make the colour look a LOT more pink and glittery, but in real life it's more nude in colour and subtle on the glitter. So much so that on first application I couldn't even see the glitter and wondered if I had a dodgy batch. Once it dries down though it's got a gorgeous subdued shine to it that makes it completely wearable day to day and not too overpowering at all! One of the things I LOVE about this shade is that it has a delicious chocolate orange scent which basically just wafts up to your nose all day. Seriously awesome!



Pumpkin Spice was released late December and I rushed to the website at 9AM to make sure I got one in time for Christmas. Where Trinket is subtle in its glitter Pumpkin Spice goes full throttle! It's SO sparkly and literally just one swipe onto your lips is enough. The coverage is absolutely insane and it keeps its shine even once dried. The only thing I would say with this one though is that it's not half as long wearing as Trinket. You do have to top up after you've eaten/drank something which can be a bit annoying, especially considering the aforementioned fact that the applicator isn't the most accurate. But the colour is just so blindingly gorgeous I'm just kind of nitpicking. Oh, and did I mention this is scented to smell like a pumpkin spiced latte? Giving me autumnal Halloween vibes all day long and I LOVE it!

I am seriously impressed with the quality of these lipsticks. Everything from the packaging to the gorgeous unique colours to the fab subtle extras like the amazing scents. Seriously, if you're thinking of trying a metallic liquid lip I couldn't recommend these more. The best thing too is that despite ordering directly from the Sugarpill website I didn't have to pay customs fees either time, which is SUCH a plus because honestly I'd have coughed up either way because they're just so damn pretty!

I'm so proud of myself! I resisted temptation all throughout the lead up to Christmas to wander into Lush and splurge on their ridiculous Christmas range, and my god did it pay off. Up and out bright and early on Boxing Day, not only did I avoid the shitstorm that was the Lush online sale, but I got everything I wanted and more for half the price. I set myself a limit of £20, thinking this would be more than enough to restock my bath bomb selection, and I came in just under which I'm super impressed with. And who cares if Christmas has passed? It still smells the same! Here's what I nabbed after just twenty minutes queuing on the cold streets of Belfast...

Going viral earlier this year with the launch of their totally dreamy iridescent Unicorn Brushes of dreams, Unicorn Lashes was launched by beauty blogger Mel Blue in April 2016 and I've been lusting after her products since day one!

I've kind of gone off of false lashes in recent times. I'm lucky myself to be blessed with quite a full sort of natural lashes, so I struggle to find a lash that doesn't make me look like a cartoon character. I know that's kind of ironic given the packaging and size of the lashes above, but hear me out. It was always to do with text more than anything, high street lashes always feel just a little too plasticky for me so I've been on the hunt for a fluffier more natural feeling lash ever since.



And so that's where Unicorn Lashes comes in! Not only are they cruelty free in all of their products, they also offer a silk vegan range for those on the fence about whether mink lashes cruelty free or not (I'm comfortable to use them but appreciate there are others who may not be). I opted for the Rebel Smoke Silk Lash. They're oversized yes, but incredibly soft and natural feeling on the eye and easy to blend in with my natural lashes. They're reusable up to twelves times so incredibly good value for money for such a high quality product.


Another thing to note is that unlike high street lashes with their disposable packaging, Unicorn Lashes come with a reusable plastic case to help protect the lashes after each use. The only downside is that the lashes do not come with their own glue, however separate glue is available to purchase and if you're anything like me you're bound to have a tube of the stuff lying around at the bottom of your make-up bag somewhere!

I can't wait to give these a whirl over the festive season and hopefully one day get my hands on those ridiculous Unicorn Brushes.
